IGN Fan Fest: “Possible One: Lunar Industries” Counts Down to April 2026 PC Demo

Enter the orbit of a growing community passionate about realistic lunar colony management

REHOVOT, Israel – October 15, 2025 – Possible One: Lunar Industries, the indie strategy sim developed by Upstairs Games that pits humanity against the moon’s inhospitable environment, prepares for liftoff of a new demo coming to PC via Steam in April 2026, as revealed during the IGN Fan Fest.

Form the first lunar colony by landing on a vacant, undeveloped lunar surface in the Shackleton Crater and building a sustainable way of life for the crew. Direct astronauts with distinct specializations, appointing roles like Scientist, Engineer, Doctor, and more to fully utilize each person’s skillset. Manage a comprehensive production and resource system to become ever self-sufficient from Earth. Time is limited, and resources more so. Optimization is necessary.

Create a lunar habitat fit for humans from the ground up by piloting scanning rovers, bulldozing moon rocks into flattened foundations, and crafting clever corridor routes linking each building together. Search the surrounding darkness to find critical resources vital to survival. Utilize a robust research system that encourages and rewards exploration of the lunar surface to grow a small base into a bustling society ready to test the innovation of mankind’s interstellar instincts.

Balance the team’s emotional well-being with their career workload and real-world dangers like electrostatically charged soil and heat dissipation. Shield integral workers from cosmic radiation exposure, help them cope with the isolation of their workplace, and overcome the daily struggles of low gravity. Order life-saving packages from Earth for aid, but be cautious: investors may interpret frequent aid requests as a sign of mismanagement and lose faith.

“All of our environments, buildings, vehicles, and everything in between are modeled after real-life practices,” said Upstairs Games co-founder Asaf Baitner. “We want to provide a fun experience in an instructional environment that brings realism to the forefront. There’s plenty of fictional space sims out there, but Possible One could be a real first step to sparking in someone the same interest in the science of the stars that we have.”

Possible One: Lunar Industries’ first Steam demo will launch on PC via Steam in April 2026, as revealed today during the IGN Fan Fest. To learn more about Possible One: Lunar Industries, check out the official website, follow Upstairs Games on X, and join the official Discord server.
