Metin2: New Dungeon Details from Upcoming Mega-Update “Tyranny of Aamon”

With the release of Tyranny of Aamon in a few short weeks, Gameforge is rolling out this year’s biggest update for the classic popular MMORPG Metin2. One of the highlights of the new update is Moonshadow Vale, where players can not only explore a brand-new environment, but also get the chance to lock horns with the new boss Aamon. 

Depths of Greed: New Dungeon Full of Evils and Challenges

The Depths of Greed caverns discovered in Moonshadow Vale are located in the eastern half of the area, and can be entered as a group or a solo player. This open dungeon is divided into two levels. In the cave, players can locate a cliff that leads even further into the depths if they overcome the obstacle. The deeper players descend into the dungeon, the greater their chances of encountering the Gate of Greed. After this ominous gate has been destroyed, the players receive a beneficial effect for the next 30 minutes.

But that means nothing to Kalgaroth the Slayer, who patrols the region. If players manage to defeat this demon, they’ll have an opportunity to loot a key which unlocks the path to the deepest part of the dungeon: the Heart of Greed. The Heart of Greed is the innermost sanctum of Aamon, the driving force behind all the evil in the Tyranny of Aamon. Only groups of four to eight players who have acquired three of the necessary keys and completed the Aamon’s Darkness quest may enter.

But before they may enter the inner sanctum, players must first face off against hordes of monsters who support Aamon their lord and master in the final battle — if they haven’t already been defeated en route. One last challenge awaits players before the showdown against Aamon. Only after defeating Nezerath, Aamon’s servant, thereby proving themselves worthy, can they face the ultimate evil incarnate... 

Tyranny of Aamon will be released next month as a free expansion for Metin2.
