Welcome to Emberville, Where Action-Adventure RPG Meets Farming Sim With Gloomy Pixel Art Flair
Explore, fight, farm, craft, level up, and rebuild Emberville one quest at a time
Originally unveiled in late 2023, the team at Cygnus Cross has been working diligently to develop their flagship title, Emberville, an action-adventure RPG that features simulation mechanics such as farming, fishing, item crafting, and more. Set in the decrepit town of Emberville, players will set out on a journey to rescue and aid the villagers in rebuilding the town. Featuring a multi-faceted progression system, players will level up a variety of combat class skills, weapons, armor, and gathering and crafting skills. Unlock new NPCs with an assortment of services in the town as they are rescued from the large, procedurally generated prison world dungeon, Vitromotus.
Customization is key in Emberville. From cross-class combat skills to a full creative building area, players are encouraged to play their way. Building on the two-button, light and heavy attack combat system, Emberville offers a weapon-bound combo system in addition to class-related skills. Unlock new combos for a variety of weapons and chain light and heavy attacks to unleash devastating strikes on enemies. Learning skills from leveling multiple classes allows the player to tailor the active combat class for a unique playstyle.
The creative area gives players a location to place buildings, decorations, farms, crafting equipment, and more, with many items and buildings offering further customization options. To ease inventory management between tasks like farming, fishing, building, and combat, Emberville features a dynamic UI system, which adjusts the HUD seamlessly when approaching areas for each task.
Key Features:
Fast-paced combat mechanics: Action-oriented combat featuring a variety of weapons, skills, and abilities.
Multifaceted game progression: Level up weapon and armor categories to unlock new skills, learn and improve gathering and crafting skills, rescue NPCs to rebuild Emberville, and explore the world to uncover hidden treasures and secrets.
Farming, gathering, and crafting: Grow crops; gather plants, wood, and minerals; and craft items.
Creative area: Customize a player area with houses, buildings, and objects that can be used to improve skills, craft items, and relax.
Procedural generation: Explore the giant procedurally generated world of Emberville, featuring levels with a variety of events, biomes, enemies, treasures, and more.
Unique multi-layered combat mechanics: Expanding on the two-button combat system, Emberville features a weapon-bound combo system and class-related skills.
Dynamic UI: The User Interface changes the HUD based on the current activity (e.g., fishing, farming, combat, etc.) to reduce extensive inventory management.
Inherited skills: Inherit skills from leveling different classes to customize the playstyle of the active combat class.
Emberville will be launching into Steam Early Access in 2026.
