With the November release of Tyranny of Aamon, Gameforge is rolling out this year’s biggest update for the classic free-to-play title Metin2. Players will soon be able to continue their adventures in the chilling Moonshadow Vale in Yohara, and discover the new Metins of Moonlight and collectable soul shards.
Caution is advised, particularly when destroying the Metins of Moonlight; when these crumble there is a chance for the Cursed Soul Harvester to appear and wreak havoc in the area. Other dangers lurking in the gloom of Moonshadow Vale include Azphirna, Queen of the Banshees, and the world boss Nykos, who only appears once enough soul shards have been offered up at his altar.
This valley was once a verdant paradise, bathed in light, but over time it fell victim to the darkness. Those who sought to investigate the root cause behind the dimming of the light were themselves lost to the darkness of the Vale. Now, instead of the vibrant scenery of yore, the horizon is lined with the jagged outlines of gnarled trees, with ghostly blue flames barely sufficient to light the ground, and dangerous creatures roaming abroad. When a researcher sees the desperation in the faces of those attempting to restore light to the valley, he uses his powers to help them...
Players wanting to enter Moonshadow Vale must travel through a new portal in the western reaches of Yilad Pass. On account of the dangers lurking there, only those who have already reached champion level 10 may enter. The journey is complemented by a new series of storyline quests which are available to adventurers from champion level 4.
