Mineko's Night Market's Cozy OST Featuring Hiroki Kikuta Now Available
Beautiful score featuring live traditional Japanese instruments composed by Daniel Simmons with a guest contribution by Hiroki Kikuta is finally available from Scarlet Moon
SAN DIEGO - MARCH 31, 2025 - Scarlet Moon is pleased to present the original soundtrack to Mineko's Night Market, a game celebrating Japanese culture while introducing a heartwarming story about friendship, tradition, and many, many cats. The score is composed by Daniel Simmons with contributions by Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana), Jessica Stuart, and the game's co-creator, Brent Kobayashi. The music comes alive through a multitude of live performances on traditional Japanese instruments, acting as the perfect cozy companion to the charming game world and cast or characters. Listeners will be immediately drawn in by soothing and welcoming melody of "Nikko's Lullaby," the dreamy and swaying "Spring in the Village," the beautiful fluttering piano of "Tea Time," and the heart wrenching "Finale" arranged by Hiroki Kikuta. The Mineko's Night Market Original Game Soundtrack is available via digital storefronts, streaming platforms, and Steam:

"Mineko's Night Market is our very first game developed at Meowza Games," comments developer Brent Kobayashi. "We wanted to work with Daniel Simmons, a musician I've worked with on various projects in the past, and from the very first track he made, we knew he was going to be the one to bring this game to life like only he and his group of talented musicians can. Even during difficult times in development, listening to the tracks in our studio helped us realize the world we were creating and it kept us going. When we learned Kikuta-san was available and interested in working with us, we were floored as we've been fans of his work for as long as we could remember. His track caps off a decades-long realized dream and will always have a special place in our hearts. And a special thanks to Scarlet Moon who managed much of the coordination that allowed us to focus on the fun parts: making the game and music."
"It was a huge honor to contribute to Mineko's Night Market and get the soundtrack out into the world," notes Scarlet Moon's Jayson Napolitano. "While Hiroki Kikuta's arrangement of the main theme that caps off this beautiful soundtrack, Daniel and team did an incredible job throughout creating a cozy atmosphere that is so perfect for the vibrant and unique visuals for the game. Thanks to co-creator Brent Kobayashi and composer Daniel Simmons for their trust in us to release this soundtrack. As a special bonus, enjoy the below likeness of Kikuta-san done up in the unique art style of Mineko's Night Market!"
The soundtrack release coincides with a long-awaited patch update that improves the gameplay experience, so there's no better time to dive into Mineko's Night Market if you missed the initial launch. The game is developed by Meowza Games and is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Steam.
