Hahaha! Sweet. Embarrassing, but sweet.

It might feel like it knocks the professionalism down a notch, but think of it this way:
Genghis Khan and his grandmother.
"Oh, Genghy! Your grandpappy and I are so proud of you. We love how you drive the peasants in front of your army as arrow fodder. Oooh, it's so impressive! Keep up the conquesting!"
"Grandmammy.... not in front of my generals..."
"Now, Genghy, is that a way to talk to your nana?"
"I'm sorry, Grandmammy..."
"Now, where's my kisses?"
*grumbles*
"Genghy..."
*kiss*

Historically accurate. I read it on a scroll or Animal Planet or something.

So crunched some numbers and have stopped writing articles for them. While the "free" bootcamp gave me some good tips, it's more trouble than it's worth.

They pay on a % of the advertising revenue your article makes, basically a fraction of $2 and change for 1,000 views.

The problem is that they submit so many articles that my articles get buried so dang fast that in order to make ANY money it has to go viral. (lottery anyone?)

My articles didn't even get 1,000 hits, probably not even 100. I'm done busting my butt for them.

I feel sorry for those who wait their 50 days for their first payout to figure this much out.

Welp, that's disappointing. Sorry it's not working out.
At least, you know, you founded and run the best christian game review site.
You got that going for you, which is nice.
