I was flipping through the channels and Sean Hannity (sp?) was doing a blurb about this show. I usually can't stand the guy, but in this case, I agree, it's tacky. I think this kind of thing sets a poor example for kids, especially kids in the African American community.

That being said, I think the best thing to do in this case is to give it as little attention as possible. Does anyone remember The Last Temptation of Christ? It was a movie back in the 80's that many Christians believed was blasphemous (I haven't seen it, so I can't comment). A lot of people decided to protest, and they basically gave the movie a lot of free publicity, which is I believe what the people who are calling for this to be cancelled are doing. I mean, I don't disagree that this show is offensive, and even if it wasn't I would have zero interest in watching it. But that's probably what the people who made the show are going for. They know that the more people complain, the more people will watch.

tl;dr: the best thing to do in a situation like this is to give it as little attention/publicity as possible

I feel like reality TV went too far a long time ago, but I agree with Bruce, I just refuse to dignify it with my attention.

Also worth mentioning: this is not a series, just a one hour "special".

Reality TV in general is stupid. Why? Because it's not real. IT's just some stupid immature way of getting attention.

And some people wonder why we have no television subscription. You can find all the junk you want on the internet for free.
