You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

So basically...you're a futurist, and a hipster? And the next Elder Scrolls game will be a clone of the previous? SAY IT AIN'T SO

Boy, this thread has been a trip down memory lane for me...

My earliest gaming experience has been the Ultima series, and Ultima IV was easily my favorite of the series. It's available for free from GOG.com, if anyone else here would like to try it.

I bought my own Super Nintendo in high school and played some of the classics there, too. Street Fighter II, Megaman X, Super Mario Kart, Super Metroid, Link to the Past... good times.

JOJ650s: That's awesome. I had alot of fun with the Humongous Entertainment games (made me learn more than actual learning games because it encouraged THINKING). And I wanted Rock Raiders so bad!

Corpfox: That's so cool! Except I grew up with Legacy of Time and Journeyman Project 1. But Buried in Time had the best story (like a good sci-fi novel). Arthur's humor from both games still resonate with me to this day!

Other than that....it was Sonic & Knuckles collection (didn't have a Genesis, but Sega was generous enough to let us PC gamers get a taste), SimCity 2000, Myst, Age of Empires...and of course:

Commander Keen

I wanted to be a Genesis kid, I wasn't a SNES kid. But I was truly a DOS kid. Gravis Gamepad and all. :)

Oh yeah, you reminded me... how could I forget Sonic Adventure 1 (I rented a Dreamcast 3 times from a rental store just to play it) and would rush over to any Dreamcast try out system at department stores.

I also really liked the Empreror's New Groove game, for the PC. And MechWarrior 3 was lots of fun (I also played a little bit of BattleDrone and Robot City back in the day).

How young we sprekkin?

Younger would be the star wars platformers for SNES, anything with Mario in it... yeah. heh. Later on was 007 Goldeneye and Rogue Squadron for N64, along both N64 Zelda games--I can never decide which I liked better XD

They just... I dunno, man. They were fundamentally awesome on a level hard to replicate in more recent Zelda games
