I am *NOT* a Brony.

My son has disowned me on the grounds that he thinks I've turned toward the brony side of the Force.

This is not so.

Granted, I've joined the Eridani Light Pony Merc Co. in MechWarrior:Online, but being a brony is no requirement for membership.

Granted, I'm painting a Bretonnian Pegasus Knight for Warhammer in such a way that it appears to be Rainbow Dash as the pegasus mount. I do this to please my 4 year old daughter, who is deep into ponies.

That is all.

Nor am I. But I still think Cupcakes is the best fanfic ever.

Sounds like you're in the cocoon stage of bronyism.

Maybe you should consider alcohol in replacement of ponies.

My family has orders to kill me immediately if ever I'm seen wearing pony swag of any kind.

I have no idea why adult men call themselves bronies and follow the show the way I'd follow Battlestar Galactica. As a parent, I can tell you that I like my daughter watching it way more than when she was into Dora the Explorer *shudder* because at least in MLP the characters don't have to shout every single line or run around asking stupid questions.

Heck, any tv show that can turn a unicorn into a gatling gun deserves a second look. (Not even joking) I think the show is cute, and I don't object to any of the content, and occasionally there's a bit of humor in it that goes over the little kids' heads but adults will catch.

For example: In one episode, a pair of horses (married) have twins. One is a unicorn, one is a pegasus. When asked about it, the father says something like "Well she's got a relative who's a unicorn and there's a pegasus in my family... That makes sense.... right....?" O_o Whoa. YEah, that joke is definitely not for the kiddies...

But that's as far as I go with it. As for the bronies... you'll have to ask them what they see in it that makes them want to wear boxer shorts with MLP on them.

(Yes, you can actually buy adult mens' boxers with My Little Pony on them. Again, not even joking.)
