Xbox and I gave our collection to our little nephew. (He's going to love them.)
I couldn't help but notice...

I'd have to say my strongest memory of the Lego Island games is that I was playing one when there was a shooting across the street from me.

I've gotta agree with ChickenSoup on this one. I remember I was playing a video game when we discovered that my neighbor had smothered his kids, stabbed his wife, and killed himself by lighting a grill in his car and dying because of asphyxia, but it's not a strong memory.ChickenSoup wrote:o_oepsons wrote:I'd have to say my strongest memory of the Lego Island games is that I was playing one when there was a shooting across the street from me.

...ok? Just saying that that's the main memory that this thread has brought to mind.

While we're sharing memories of horrible things that happened while gaming, I remember I finished Link's Awakening on the toilet.
In case anyone cared.

I remember getting stuck in Link to the Past on the SNES and then having to pack it up and move across the country

That's my only peeve about old games - getting stuck is all too easy.
But then again, I can't say Arkham Asylum/City with it's irritating color pallate and confusing map design (at least to me) didn't stick me either.
Stupid Mr. Freeze boss battle.

Yeah, I know where you're coming from there, I loved it. But, I have to agree it was annoying at the start.Nate DaZombie wrote:You know, it's funny, I thought that boss battle was amazing.ScotchRobbins wrote: Stupid Mr. Freeze boss battle.
