Interesting list, and I'm surprised to see a couple of soccer games on the list (including one I've never heard of, strangely enough - Pro Evolution Soccer). It does make me wonder how a few other franchises compare that didn't make the cut - Metroid, Street Fighter and Mega Man specifically.

I was surprised to see that second soccer series too. XD
I would also be interested to see Mega man's sales. (I mean Megaman is quite an iconic character after all... one that Capcom seems to not be interested in make more games for...)

I do have some info on Metroid though.

Adding all the totals it goes to around 15.79 million. (Not counting the latest game, Federation Force.)

Interesting, thanks for sharing! I'm also surprised by Pro Evolution Soccer rainking. It must be more popular oversees, because I've heard very little about the franchise. I'm also surprised that LEGO made it on the list. I know the games are popular, but I didn't think they had sold so many copies. I guess it's because they are including everything sold by LEGO, not just the ones by Traveler's Tales. Part of me also thought Halo was more successful than the Tom Clancy series.
