I know I played and loved that game, but it's not in my Steam library. I'll have to look for the DVD/CDs.

The main game and all DLCs. I made edits for all audio dialog (with correct lip syncing), subtitles, computer terminals, and audio logs.

It was a lot of work. It was really fun to test. Now all I have left is to package it up and get it ready to release.

Since I finished playing the campaign months ago I can test it with the DLC now.... yes the geck is terrible (usable at least) for voice and dialogue editing.... gave me bad eyestrain when I did my mod.

Great news! I published my Fallout 3 No Swear Mod. It took a long time to make. I hope that the community here will find it useful.

I published a mod for Stalker Call of Pripyat that removes the blood and swearing. I have really enjoyed the trilogy and how many mods there are for this series.

Here's the link: http://www.moddb.com/games/stalker-call ... d-no-swear

It's a loosely historical based game about the Chernobyl nuclear power plant that exploded in the 80's. The interesting thing to me about the game is that the developers lived in the greater area when it happened. (like in a nearby state or providence). I originally picked up the game because it was published on gog.com and I wanted to see if I could make a mod for it and also do a social experiment to see if I could push through anxiety. (I normally don't like scary games.)

on a side note, if you've ever been curious about Chernobyl get on google maps and you can actually get a "street view" close to the factory that blew up. It's in active use now so it wont look blown up, but it's a fascinating experience to see that google's street view goes close to the factory.

Hey Guys,

I seen someone modded FarCry 1 for language. I don't remember bad language in that game.

However, FarCry 3/4 both have bad language. I just would like a mod that edits out those swears.

That would be cool.

Thanks

Hey campcreekdude,

Thanks for the interest. I made that mod for FarCry1. I don't own FarCry 3 or 4. FarCry 3 seems to have some modding tools. I've had a small look at FarCry 2, but not much. I'm currently work on a few other projects on and off and wont get to it for a while. I'm working on a no swear mod for Morrowind and then hopefully a no swear mod for Skyrim. We'll see where that goes as life is busy so time is short.

Here's a few things I've found in a quick search:
-FarCry 2 uses the same engine as 3 (though there's probably some differences)

-Here's a link to some tips on how to mod the game:
http://farcry3-mods.wikia.com/wiki/Tool ... me_content

-Ubisoft forums about modding and the process:
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/73 ... y-3-Forums

Hopefully, if you're interested in learning how to mod, it might get you started. I would love to play a mod you make for either of those games. From what I can tell you'll use the modding tool to extract the assets, edit them, and then repack them into a .dat and .fat archive type and then drop them into your game install folders and play. (this is of course very over-simplified). You can use audacity, which is free and open source to make edits.

I tried modding FC2 years ago... too protected. FC3+ is even more protected. Last time I looked, also years ago, you could "mod" them by editing text files and changing a few parameters ingame but noting proper.

protip, almost nothing (if anything) published by ubipoop is ever properly moddable so I just completely caring about anything from them. Also FC3 has magic arm tatoos and a mandatory ritual sex scene so.... I'm not missing anything important anyway.

Payday 2 is free on Steam while copies last. I'm planning to make a no swear mod for it so if it's a game you'd like to play go grab it! I'll post news here later when I get a mod finished. It might take a while, but the game seems pretty mod friendly from what I can tell so I believe it should be possible.

It's a cops and robbers style game. You play co op with 4 players and rob the banks

Bad news about Payday 2. While it's got lots of mod support, At the current moment, it's not possible to finish a no swear mod. There's a lot of encrypted .wav files that you have to convert from a .stream to a .wav, edit them, and convert them back. The problem is that the tool to do it with only handles .wav formats. There's a lot encrypted .ogg files. There's a different tool that can decrypt them one by one, which would be way too tedious for thousands files. There's no tool to re-encrypt them so if there's any swearing in them, it's kind of a waste. Perhaps this decrypt/encrypt tool will be developed to handle these formats in the future. At least the game was free for a while. Sorry guys. I do love a good co op game.
