So, I'm kinda late to the party with Skyrim, but it's awesome so far. Any tips to the newcomer?

Get good at sneak and one-handed. Then get the Dark Brotherhood gloves, and with the right perks you'll do x30 sneak attack damage.

Duel-wielding with a fleshed out one-handed perk tree makes you a god of war.

That's why I'm doing. My first guy was awful and I deleted the save since I had no idea what I was doing. So now I'm going to be a thief/assassin guy.
So, HAVE A CLEAR PLAN of what your character type is.

Also, bows are fun and particularly good early game. Keeps you from having to get close.

Oh, and should you get Dawnguard, you'll get awesome crossbows and a hot vampire chick. Just sayin <_<

The crossbow is pretty cool to open with, and I kept her around quite a bit. Just a werewolf and a vampire, wrecking around skyrim.

Oh, become a vampire or a werewolf.

Stealth is OP, and maxing a single tree like one-handed usually is a safe bet.

Lol I do this in Morrowind. My cousin has beaten it at least once and was telling me about a vault that I should raid in that city where you talk to the Khajit that is in debt. Anyone know where it is?
