Great gaming exercise!

Great for talking hardware, hype, and games outside traditional genres.

I'm looking forward to see what their kickstarter is like, as well as their final product.

I have seen the future (of gaming)................and it is bleak, yet AWESOME.

I don't want to rain on anyones parade, but the truth is that although the Oculus Rift is very interesting, I highly doubt it will be possible to use it without blowing chunks, suffering severe dizziness and other side effects.

Although yeah, It does look really cool.

Read reviews of people who have used it. They don't get motion sick or dizzy.

I'm still skeptical about it. Will have to wait.

Though, I have heard it does cause motion sickness at first until you get used to it.

Also, I get motion sickness from first person games (especially with head bobbing) very easily so this is probably not for me.

Yeah, it probably depends more on how well you handle motion sickness. I personally have never experienced it, so I doubt the Oculus Rift would change that for me.

Veeery interesting. I would want to put in a serious trial period before I'd buy something like that.

Whats to stop one from flipping over that circular bar and landing on their head?

Think I am crazy for asking that? Well how many people have broken TVs and other things thanks to throwing a Wii Remote? Somebody is going to do it. Probably somebody who thinks drinking and gaming go together.

Like me :D

Then again, I don't drink to get drunk, either. So I just had a perfectly calm and well-contemplated night of Skyrim and IPA. It was lovely. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I hadn't done that sooner.

Nothing. But the indemnity clause in the legal language that will (or should) be tied to the purchase of the device should cover them.
That and the likelihood that drunken gaming on one of those devices is almost certain to cause uncontrollable puking well before there's a risk of flipping over.
