Okay, so I have a PSP 3000 that is broken. I have thought about getting it fixed. I have thought about getting a new one. But just in case, does anybody know how to fix a broken PSP?
Screen is broken.
Anybody know how to repair a PSP?

Ask Fix-it Felix if you can borrow his Magic Hammer. That'll do it.
If he will not let you borrow the hammer, then this link might help too.

Okay, so I've ordered the repair kit AND I'm getting a 16GB memory stick.
One more question. Does anybody know how to rip UMDs and save them on the PSP?

Annnd......what firmware would you recommend? And will I still be able to use PSN? Is custom firmware considered a hack?

my 3000 has a custom firmware on it. It wasn't updated when I got it though. There are two kids, bootable and and launchable. My boots into custom unless I specify otherwise.

Customer firmware isn't technically a "hack", but it is going outside of the intended software usage of the device in an effort to root or jailbreak the device, so it technically does violate the EULA. That's not illegal, but it's a little more grey than just playing Me & My Katamari until all hours of the morning.DeadManReedeemed wrote:Chozon1 wrote:And you are going to have a fun time trying to get that custom firmware onto a 3000.
