What game maker program do you use? I've actually been looking for something fairly simple to try and design games, but haven't had much luck in finding anything that's simple enough for me to wrap my mind around.

I'm thinking about going to Bramson ORT College to learn Game Design and Programming. But I don't have Game Maker, so I can't help. Sorry. :?

You should check out Multimedia Fusion 2 and/or The Games Factory 2 from Clickteam. Both are excellent and fairly easy to jump into. I've used them for years and have been quite happy with them. :)

Game Maker = BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD
Seriously, don't use it. It's a massive pain.

Try Scratch, it's a great program that comes with a great programming language and is great for making games.
Apart from that, RPG Maker XP is excellent for RPGs (obviously), though it does cost money.

I don't really know many other ways to do it apart from them with the exception coding it from scratch (pun not intended), and if you need any help with making your game in the end, I might be able to help you.

EDIT: Apparently you can make just about anything with the Trials: Evolution level editor, maybe look into that.
