properly defining REGENERATION

REGENERATION: is defined as a rebirth of your human spirit BY the HS in John 3:6. This is confirmed by Paul in Rom. 2: 29 as a circumcision of the heart, in the spirit ... (Deut 30:6) as a literal new human spirit ( ruach) As in Ezekiel 36: 26. Never forget Jesus said YOU must be born again. And Paul said it is the circumcision of YOUR heart. The replacement of your old human spirit with a new or "quickened" human spirit Eph 2: 1, Col 2: 13, 1 Cor 15: 45 means that you are again spiritually alive unto God to hear and receive from HIM by revelation from His Holy Spirit to through your regenerate spirit to you the Soul. Eph 1:17-18 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the [regenerate] spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ... . ( see also 1 Cor 2: 6-16) It was sin that caused our spirit to be defiled and " cut off" from God so that we all became blind, deaf and dumb to God's voice. But now we can have that fellowship and communion with God fully restored thanks to the power of the shed blood enabling us to stand innocent before God by an imputed righteousness. Christianity is not so much a religion as a relationship. Regeneration is the "mechanical" in a metaphor, means to have that intimate face to face, spirit to Spirit relationship with our God!
