Very interesting. I totally know what he means, there was some kind of "disconnect" in the debate.

This debate was awesome. I've listened to it at least five times, and I always see something new and funny about it. What's absolutely priceless is that after the debate, Pat Robertson, the king of not doing christianity any favors, denounced Ken Ham, saying he wasn't doing christianity any favors. Ham's arguments were pretty vapid over all, and Nye, ideally, should have followed advice given him by RDF and other freethinking organizations, that scientists should not debate creationists. It would at least have saved Nye some time, but moreover, Nye seriously shouldn't have let Ham dictate the venue (his museum) and given the museum the right to film and stream it, and charge admission. I hear from post debate things that the revenue and attention garnered from the debate directly helped keep that shipwreck afloat a little longer, and directly went to fund the new noahs ark exhibit, which I doubt helped Nye's cause. I'm not overly worried about the Creation Museum though; it is doomed to fail, and i'm surprised it lasted this long. Another silly exhibit will not change that. The people who buy it have already seen it, and eventually the novelty will wear off, and this debate might have helped in the short term, but I think most of the people who went to it saw Ken get obliterated and Nye keep doing what he always does; being a complete, unmitigated bouse.
