I've already started seeing it. From other Christians, mind you, but the Calvinists were all over the papacy as soon as Benedict retired.I'm just waiting for anti-Catholic rhetoric to start attacking the guy the way they did with Benedict XVI before the man even got through new Pope orientation.
I admire that in Mormons. They have much more of a tendency to be accepting of other branches of Christianity, in spite of the LDS many times being treated like the black sheep of Christianity. It really warms my cynical atheist-leaning-agnostic heart, and I mean that sincerely.My wife has already found a few conspiracy theorists gong nutso about the supposed evils of the new Pope. Didn't take long for them to emerge....
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have issued a nice press release welcoming the new Pope. So that's good to see, at least! After all, even though we may all have different approaches and opinions, we all are brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.
