Ask Whatshisface

Hey all, what a fun board! While perusing some of the other Ask the Members threads, I thought it might be fun to throw my own hat into this ring. So ask away, and if I do not know the answer (which may be often), I will find the answer.

Also, to answer Todd Friel's recent question on Wretched (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXunKYFqrD4): yes, Irish Lutherans *do* exist!

I'll go ahead and start with my usual "hi there new guy!" question.

What is the inspiration behind your username?

It is a joke within the family pertaining to doppelgangers, a particular writing teacher from my youth, and my poor ability to remember of the names of people I meet. I also find it to be a pretty funny name. :D

It is also a way of maintaining anonymity upon the interwebs.

Well, it depends upon whom you ask. Stealing a line from the army, I've been known to proudly proclaim, especially to my wife, that I was not born but rather assembled at Fort Benning, GA... to date, she still doesn't believe me. In fact, her reaction looks similar to .

Could you translate and elaborate on "Simul iustus et peccator?" I googled the phrase but there seem to be a few different understandings of it, and I'm interested in how you see it.

The phrase itself means "simultaneously saint and sinner." The phrase was coined by Martin Luther to help describe the dual kind of existence of a believer's life. For a *good* explanation of it, here's a guy teaching sound theology while wearing an N7 hoodie. :D :D :D

I was hiding in the bushes, with camo paint on my face, keyboard in hand, awaiting the perfect moment to leap out and introduce myself.

No, in all honesty I stumbled across your site via facebook. You know how it does the thing where it 'recommends' groups and stuff? Well I saw that and after checking the group I 'liked' the page and then proceeded to CCG's site-proper.

Yep. Although lately there hasn't been many decent couch co-op games. That has certainly put a damper on things. :? So we've been watching anime while still searching for a game we can both enjoy.

Well, we just finished Sword Art Online last night. Before that it was Steins;Gate (which is excellent!), and before that it was Ai Yori Aoshi. :D Maggie's actually wanting to do cosplay... but the closest place would be Portland, which is over 5 hours away.
