What I have been working on the last several days. Trying to get these scrap computer parts into a full working machine. It's going good so far!
P.S. Made this post with this machine!

Ask Amoeba is now officially defunct. Sorry
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

They sell these things now, they're like boxes made of plastic and metal and they keep all the parts of a computer secure in one place!
It's pretty cool, you should check it out.

It's a deconstructed computer.
At least in this form you shouldn't have to worry too much about cooling issues....

Here is an update on that project
You eyes do not deceive you, the computer is sitting on baby blocks. I needed a quick fix, and this is what I found. I did this quite hastefully with the cheapest materials around, and so far I have not needed to buy anything for this project.
I still need to paint the thing and manage the spaghetti cables, also the extra heat sink that piggybacks off of the heat pipe is not properly attached.
The SSD has Linux Mint on it, but I am considering doing a fresh install. I have had good luck with Mint so far. I am surprised this SSD still works after so many years.
I wish I had a solution better than using zip ties in the place of screws, but I suppose it'll do. My measurements were quite off some things will never be flushed. If I were to do this project over again I would use much less haste.
Also this project kinda reminds me of this Johnny Cash song;
