What is the best realistic racing game? I really like racing games like the nascar games. The last racing game I had was Nascar 1998, and that was amazing (even the graphics were pretty good). What is the best series out there?

I don't really like realistic games, but I would try to avoid anything by EA. Even their NASCAR games were arcadey.
Like ccgr said, SimBin's games are good, anything by Codemasters (DiRT, F1, etc) and there might be some others.

Forza and Gran Turismo come to mind. I loved both of them.

Though my favorite racing game shall always be Star Wars Episode 1: Racer.

Well, Combat Cars, but I'm assuming you aren't looking for an old Genesis game.

If you like F1, Codemasters did a pretty decent job with the latest F1 releases.

At first I was surprised Arch didn't mention Lego Racers, but then I noticed you said realistic.

Deep already mentioned the two I was going to mention,
he even mentioned Star Wars Episode 1: Racer!

I just can't top that.

Didn't even see the request for a realistic racing game.

I don't know, driving recklessly outside?

Oh yeah, and LEGO Racers.

I'd second Gran Turismo and Forza. Of the two though, I've found GT to be more irritatingly complex.

Though when I compare real life driving to game driving, I'm reasonably certain Mario Kart could qualify on some days.

Yes I LOVE Lego Racers, the first one and the second one, I like the acrade kind of style of game. What I am looking for is something that doesn't take a while learn and is fun to play with a friend or 2.

Burnout Paradise is a REALLY good racing game that's on sale on Steam right now. The online can be quirky but you can login most of the time.

If you have a Ps1 get Test Drive 5. It was the best back in it's day. Otherwise Forza or GranTurismo. Grid Autosport if you like to be part of the contracting and all, and F1 for seriousness.

I read an article online and it said Gran Turismo is were I go to drive, Forza is were I go to race. Overall it summed up Forza as more Racing and Trackbased with a lot of the same kind of things going on. We're as GT, lacking in AI status, has a better driving feel as you do more and work around more cars. Definiatly just my speculation though.
So (insert meaning of life and REALLY important stuffs here) and that's what I'm all about!
