Re: Baker forced to make cakes for gay couples

Holy Spirit  If you haven't read up the Holy Spirit's purpose then check this out. Truth is, man is wretched. History perfectly testifies against us on all imaginable grounds. Humanity is guilty of a lot of things. However, the Holy Spirit is a gift to all Christians, so that God may lead them...

Re: Baker forced to make cakes for gay couples

I believe that the USA was blessed by God as it was a nation that acknowledged Him, but I don't find the constitution divine. Good but not Godly. This nation has been wiping away traces of God from it for a while. We're not listed as a nation in the end times...not sure what's going to happen and w...

Re: Elton John and the Jesus Who Stood For Nothing

It's a harsh reality of post-modern Christianity.

Re: The best Racer out of: Grid AutoSport, Forza, or GranTur

I played one of the earlier Grids, it didn't really impress me that much. I enjoyed Need for Speed Shift slightly more. As for Forza vs Gran Turismo...it depends. I have Gran Turismo 5; my roommate has Forza 3. GT5 has a greater variety of cars(compared to the later Forzas as well), but some car lac...

Re: Baker forced to make cakes for gay couples

It's an infringement upon their liberty and a form of slavery. wat Are you truly unclear about I'm trying to say or are you simply being sarcastic? There seems to be a lot of the latter going on and a fair amount of butt hurt is incurred when one gets called on it. I'm going to assume you're unclea...

Re: "Spiritual Matters" and Building Faith

I think it's a great proposal. I like to debate here with the assumption that I'm talking with Christians. I've been on a lot of other religious forums where atheists joined up and debated Christians/Muslims/Jews, but all those forums created a special area for the atheists to debate the religious f...

Re: Presbyterian Church endorses same-sex marriages

Actually, I thought Bruce did bring up a legitimate point. There are many things in the Bible that indicated it was a capital offense, including adultery, homosexuality and taking the Lord's name in vain. I think that many people - Christians included - think that going away from killing people for...

Re: Presbyterian Church endorses same-sex marriages

One of the best philosophical scenes I've seen. It really gets to me. The devil can be so deceiving that we would not recognize its existence.

EDIT:

If you don't want to see violence, just watch the first few minutes.

Re: Presbyterian Church endorses same-sex marriages

I suppose it was only a matter of time. It's the same story here. I can remember a while back the Presbytarian synod allowing certain churches to deny the existence of the devil. Of course not insinuating that gay rights are on the same level, but it shows how the church hierarchy is adapting and ch...

Not satisfied with what I've seen, but I rest my case.

Re: The United Kingdom has banned the teaching of creationis

So anti-creationism is a moral incentive now? I can respect allowing people decide. I think that's truly the only way for a multi-religious society...but saying that evolutionism is science is a bunch of horse dung. First things first. This is going to turn into an explosive argument. Constructive ...

Re: The United Kingdom has banned the teaching of creationis

Well for my 0.02 I can see why they did it and I'm not very surprised. The US will follow suit I'm sure. We're roughly 20 years behind the UK morally. For now I'm okay with public education, but if I were home schooling I would teach both view points and let the kids decide which side of the fence ...

Re: The United Kingdom has banned the teaching of creationis

I don't think anybody here follow that. Many of the people who are agreeing with me are Christians whose faith is very important to them. Just because they don't think a religious teaching should be taught in a science classroom doesn't make them any less a Christian. I am an Atheist, but I am a mi...

Re: The United Kingdom has banned the teaching of creationis

Is belief in Creationism really a deal-breaker for being a Christian? Last time I checked, the only prerequisite was believing that Jesus was the son of God, who died for your sins and rose from the dead. That's it. Also, we have members who aren't Christian. Does that also mean we're not a Christi...
