Re: What is your opinion on videogame piracy?

But nowadays there's so many gameplay videos and demos online you can know exactly how a game plays before you get it, so that's no longer a valid excuse, IMO.
WOW! That point right there is on the money! I totally agree!

Re: My Challenge to myself: Find a game that pass these filters

what about supernatural beings i.e ghost pirates? I am currently playing Atlas on PC and don't have to use magic, no swearing or blaspheming. Don't have to kill or steal from people as I'm on a pve server. There is blood when killing animals but that's about it. Are the "super natural" ghost pirate...

My Challenge to myself: Find a game that pass these filters

(Disclaimer: I apologize if this is a double post. Can’t remember if I’ve touched on this before) I am desperately seeking for a PC game that 1) My character can be successful without using of spell casting, magic (That would include enchanting item or being forced to purchase/ create magical items)...

Re: What is your opinion on videogame piracy?

I think the bible teaches to obey the laws of the land (Romans 13:1, Titus 3:1 and 1 Peter 2:13&14.) If I'm wrong in thinking this I'll humbly take biblical and loving correction. That being said, in the U.S.A. piracy is actual breaking the law. I came across this when looking up copying music witho...

Re: "If it were that important, Jesus would have mentioned it..."

The Bible is very clear on it. But people treat it like a buffet these days, take what they want leave the rest. Exactly. It's like selective biblical doctrine. Like "I'll just take the part of the bible that fits my lifestyle and leave the rest out of my way of life." I think that's why so many pe...

Re: Last Game You Beat

You don't beat games. The difficulty just increases until you die! Honestly, I was kinda thinking that. Like, don't most games now-a-days never end. But even if i ever completed all the quest or missions in a game, i'd probably just go back and do it again to get better at it. Set my own personal s...

Re: your meaning of "No Weapon formed against me shall prosper."

Well you'd have to ask the person who was using it (the "against ME" part would refer to them). I've never used the phrase, so I don't really have a meaning for it. :) Yea, I agree. That was my attempt, to ask the question to those who use it and/or people who knew others who use it. More so like w...

I honestly don't think I have ever beaten a game. Maybe I should put that on my bucket list

Re: your meaning of "No Weapon formed against me shall prosper."

The weapon can hurt us, yes... but ultimately the adversaries of God will not prosper. I agree. To me, that's exactly what that scripture is all about. Unfortunately when I hear people say "No weapon formed against me shall prosper," in the context they say it, it might not line up to that explanat...

Re: "If it were that important, Jesus would have mentioned it..."

People will come up with any excuse to support sin. Even followers of Christ do it. So that's kind of a normal thing in the U.S. To me, the question is always this; who taught Paul? It's my understanding that in Galatians 1:11&12 Paul is saying that he was taught by Jesus Christ by revelation. Galat...

Re: Starting a visual novel project! (Who knows if I'll finish...)

If you use DuckDuckGo (which I recently switched to and am glad I did - it doesn't track your every action and collect your personal data like Google does) you will probably get less of the unwholesome visuals and be able to tell via the text summaries which to avoid. :) https://duckduckgo.com/ I n...

Re: Starting a visual novel project! (Who knows if I'll finish...)

Some quick searched online for Visual Novels will come up with a ton (some not-so-wholesome, also) and might give you an idea of what they're like. Yea, that's why I didn't want to do a simple google search. I don't want to get bombarded with the "unWHOLESOME" element. But I might just brace myself...

Re: Is "Theo" as a name blasphemous?

If it was an intentional snub at God it would be one thing. But I have a feeling that most people will name their children more after older relatives, or celebrities, or because it sounds cool, without contemplating the origins of the name. Also even if it is, it isn't the kid's fault. If it was in...

I have completed my post requirement, and would like to be added to the whitelist.

I might be a bit above the 15 required but I'm kinda liking being back on an actual forum and kinda got excited just interacting with folks like this again.

Re: Starting a visual novel project! (Who knows if I'll finish...)

I'm starting a visual novel project! You know I've never heard of such a thing, but for a person who enjoys video games and have a long time goal to write short stories and novels, this sounds very interesting. I also noticed "Ren'Py" mention as the engine you are using. Do you by any chance have s...
