Re: A counter-movement to anti-Semitism?

Here's the thing, the cure to anti-semitism and almost every societal plague is great parenting. If we were able to give every child a good childhood - not a rich one with lots of material possessions, but one with loving parents - we could have a peaceful society in no time at all.

Re: How many American atheists are there really?

We need strong Christian community and shrinking government to decrease atheism in the US. They don't need facts, they need to be shown what being a Christian means/ looks like.

Re: This is why people don't donate to faith causes

One of the biggest problems I hear from intellectuals complaining about Christianity is the hypocrisy. It is the onus on all of us to examine ourselves, rid ourselves of hypocrisy, and call it out in others. Jesus sure hated hypocrites!

Sometimes infowars gets things wrong but it isn't the onion. take every news source with a grain of salt, but debunk an article for it's contents and failure to cite, not the source. Often there are valuable points made.

Re: Who Would Jesus Kill?

Almost every honest person will admit abortion is wrong, even those for it's legality. The fact is, the choice is to have sex. You get that choice. You don't get choice after that. You have a responsibility and no matter the circumstance you cannot morally kill that child of God. Also, I put out tha...

Re: Why Do People Go/Not Go to Heaven?

I have come to believe heaven is full communion with God. And those who do not want God are not welcome. Jesus talked a lot about interacting with others and ourselves, and in heaven, we are free from sin and pain. But you must know Jesus to get there.

Re: Evolution?

There is a lot of misconception over evolution. I am an evolutionary christian, my gf is a creationist. I would suggest taking a college ev. bio. course if you can, otherwise i've read THE FIRST BRAIN and THE WATERS EDGE and they are full of information. I believe early/old Bible books are part of t...

Re: 5 Reasons not to observe Lent

I think any and all lent plans should be run by God and your confidants. These can be things to fall into, and it's important to remember cultivating our relationship with God is at the utmost of it all!

Re: God is... what now?

God created Adam and Eve in his image depending on which creation story you look at.. But the verbiage is clearly God in a masculine manner. Jesus could not have had his effect as a woman, but we have a strong and godly woman in his mother. Jesus was a man and made male references to God, and that's...

Re: Question for my friend if you can answer

The most famous dreams are around Daniel and his interpretations. I would seek spiritual authority, a pastor or otherwise, on the matter, and read scripture around dreams. Pray for God to open your eyes and keep a dream log in the incident it happens again. If God wants you to know something he'll m...

Re: Online ministry?

God has plans for success for you in your life, the Bible tells us that. God has also given each of us talents and things we're particularly good at. Find those and let God take you like a rocket with them. If you are good at the online ministry, I can't think of a reason not to pursue it. Like othe...

Re: I need help! Doubts?

The girl in my life's been huge to my faith life. She doesn't seem to question at all, I think because it's such a central part of her life and family. I would find at least someone like this in your life until you can be that person for others. I need to go to weekly church to maintain my faith. Re...

Re: Ways to (accidentally) drive off nonbelievers

I have come to believe that in this day and age one of the most attractive things in christian living is christian communities. As life has gotten more secular, church and town communities have weakened and disappeared. No longer is it everyone's responsibility to take care of the poor- there's gove...

Find Marketable skills, improve what you're worth in the marketplace, fill every hour with work, even odd jobs. Don't rely on charity. Get a loan from anyone you can. This is the best chance you have to get out of your situation. Good luck and God bless.
