Thanks to Digital Praise for giving us this game to review!

Dance Praise is required to play the expansion! Have you played your Dance Praise songs to death and you’re looking for some fresh music? Do you like RAP or Hip-Hop? If you answered yes to any of those questions you may want to check out the second expansion pack for Dance Praise. This expansion packs add thirty-five new songs to your collection. You need to have Dance Praise installed in order to play these songs. The each expansion pack sells for $24.95 at CovenantGames.com.

What songs are included?

Andy Hunter-(this is techno not sure why it’s in this expansion) The Wonders of You Radiate DJ MAJ- Uappeal Boogiroot(The Anthem) Let’s Go Grits- Hittin’ Curves High Tennessee Bwoys Make Room John Reuben- Out of Control Treats Doin’ Divine Inspiration Do Not LA Symphony- Dance Like End is Now Here to Party Out of Eden- Just the Way Paul Wright- Come Around West Coast Kid Rock the Show The Katinas- Dance Verbs- Trippin’ Run With It God is Big Jericho Sounds KJ-52 Are you real? Jesus (from Remixed) Jesus (from Behind the Musik) Video Games TobyMac- Get This Party Started Momentum Love is in the House The Slam Diverse City

Installation/Integration

Installation is really easy and once it’s installed you’ll see the songs the next time you launch Dance Praise. You can sort the songs by play list to see the color coded songs you added. It doesn’t get much easier than that. If you want to uninstall you have to use the uninstaller from the start menu since it’s not available in the control panel.

Usability

The expansion does not add any new features that I noticed. The arrows still go down instead of up like most DDR games. The accuracy of the arrows is questionable but decent. The grading is very lenient. Hard mode is pretty easy until you get to level 4 & 5 songs. DDR veterans won’t find this game very challenging in general.

Appropriateness

The song selection is very good and most of the songs have a very clear message, though there are other songs are a little more secular sounding. There is nothing inappropriate like most rap songs out there.

Final Thoughts

I’ll be honest and be the first to admit that I’m not a fan of rap music. This collection has music from many well-known artists and the song selection seems to be pretty good. I only like a handful of the songs personally and I don’t recommend this unless you really enjoy rap music. I liked the Andy Hunter songs they added on this expansion although they are more techno than hip-hop. Maybe they added them for people like me. With an asking price of $24.95 this is a fair price for adding this much to the Dance Praise game play.

Final Ratings

Appropriateness 50/50 Game Play 17/20 Graphics 6/10 Sound 10/10 Controls/Interface 3/5 Stability 4/5

Christ Centered Gamer looks at video games from two view points. We analyze games on a secular level which will break down a game based on its graphics, sound, stability and overall gaming experience. If you’re concerned about the family friendliness of a game, we have a separate moral score which looks at violence, language, sexual content, occult references and other ethical issues.
